Over her 25 year music career, songstress Barb Waters has received many accolades in Australia as well as in Europe and North America. Her many bands have seen her play alongside Crowded House, Nick Cave, Lucinda Williams, Died Pretty, Paul Kelly, and Michelle Shocked to name a few.

Barb Waters grew up in Myrtleford in north east Victoria and formed an all-girl band called The Water Babies in primary school! She joined her first real band The Broken Hearts, described as 'a collision between Nancy Sinatra and the Velvet Underground'.
Later Waters sang in several acclaimed Australian bands including Billy Baxter’s Hollowmen and Chris Wilson’s Crown Of Thorns. Barb then pursued her solo career with her band the Rough Diamonds, releasing three EPs and an album. She has alkso toured with Paul Kelly, Yothu Yindi, Michelle Shocked, John Hammond and more.
